System Updates
Advanced warning of database maintenance work:
The IRSE database will be offline for maintenance work over a short period in August/September (dates to be confirmed). This means that there will be no login facilities for the website and our staff will be unable to answer detailed queries / take payments for subscriptions during this period.
We will announce the dates when we have been informed of them on the front page of the IRSE website and on the login page.

Membership Subscriptions
Thank you to all who have already paid your membership subscriptions — could all other members please pay promptly.
If you are paying by bank transfer / online banking, please ensure that your name and/or membership number are included in the information within this transfer. We have had a few payments without this information and are struggling to match the payment to the member. If you have mistakenly done this, please contact finance@irse.org with your details to help us track the payment down.

Minor Railways Section
We’re moving into a busy period for the Minor Railways Section.
Nominations for the IRSE Minor Railways S&T Technician of the Year Award are still being accepted until 24 September. Nominate someone you know who regularly demonstrates outstanding commitment in S&T engineering on/in a minor railway context – whether they are a volunteer or a staff member. A cheque for £250 and a year’s free membership of the IRSE is available to the winner. Full details and nomination form available here
October sees their Signalling Maintenance & Inspection Technical Workshop held over 2 days in Derby.
November offers the 2021 Technical Seminar and the award for “Minor Railway S&T Technician of the Year”
