Latest FIRTT output

How will the railway industry look post COVID-19 and what impact will this have on operators?

Key decision makers all over the world are looking at this and shaping plans to get their countries moving again.  Here in the UK, the Future Integrated Railway Think Tank (FIRTT) run by the IRSE, the Rail Delivery Group, WSP and KPMG  held a special interactive webinar to discuss ‘rail’s role in an integrated system post COVID-19’.

During the present COVID-19 emergency, the section committee has decided to hold the section's 2020 AGM on-line rather than postpone it.

Minor Railways AGM

25th July 2020; 12:00 to 13:00 UTC

The technology to be used will be ZOOM and members wishing to take part should register by mailing mrsvisits@irse.org without delay. The AGM will be followed by an illustrated talk of about 25 minutes, by Dominic Beglin and Emma Haywood, on the Cheddleton resignalling project currently in progress at the Churnet Valley.

Would members wishing to take part, register their interest by emailing their Email Address, Name, IRSE Membership grade and mobile phone number to mrsvisits@irse.org , it would assist if you could add your minor railway affiliation, if you have one.

Registration closes on the 20th July when we will send out invitations to join the meeting.
