AGM 2025 and Presidential Address

Our AGM 2025 was hosted in Amsterdam on 24 April and includes the address by the new President, Bogdan Godziejewski’s .
The theme for Bogdan’s year is ‘Engaging generation unlimited’, focused on encouraging and developing young railway signalling engineers and helping us signal a bright future for our industry.

Second Presidential lecture
22 May 2025; Utrecht, NL
The second presidential lecture in Bogdan Godziejewski’s theme of ‘Engaging generation unlimited’ will be presented by Jennifer Kirk on the evolution of trackworker safety and the role young professionals can play in future developments.
This will be an in-person event in Utrecht, Netherlands, and will also be livestreamed as well as recorded for later viewing.

Members’ Lunch

IRSE Exam – booking opens soon
For the 4 October 2025 exams
Candidates will be able to sit either the Certificate (module A) – available to IRSE members and non-members or one or more of modules B, C and D – available only to IRSE members who have previously passed an IRSE exam module.
Keep an eye on social media and the exam webpages for updates.

Mycareerpath database upgrade
5-6 May 2025
Mycareerpath is the free database provided by the Engineering Council for all IRSE members to plan, record and reflect on their continuous professional development (CPD).
Over 5-6 May, mycareerpath will be upgrading its database, during which time the application will be unavailable to users. Existing user access and CPD records will be migrated to the new site once the upgrade has been completed.

We realise that people may change roles and organisations, so it’s encouraged that, where possible, members use personal email addresses for their IRSE registration so we can always stay in touch.

North American Section: AGM 2025

The North American Section will host its AGM 2025 in Indianapolis at ‘Railway Interchange 2025’, North America’s largest railway exhibition and educational conference. The meeting will also be livestreamed.
IRSE Dutch Section: AGM 2025

London and South East Section: AGM 2025
22 May 2025; London, UK
The next IRSE London & South East meeting on 22nd May 2025 will be the section Annual General Meeting. Following the AGM, there will be a presentation on the East Coast Digital Program.
