The March edition of IRSE News is available online.
This month’s issue includes the latest news from the Institution and our local sections and articles on train location, an update from the third UIC FRMCS conference held in Paris last year, and Emma Davey’s Presidential paper dealing with the challenges of integrating complex systems.

IRSE professional exam day
Saturday 1 March; worldwide
We would like to wish all of our exam candidates sitting Module A the best of luck in their exam today! We have over 100 candidates in 18 countries sitting the exam remotely, all being monitored by remote invigilation and anti-plagiarism software.
Thank you to everyone who has contributed to getting the candidates and the exam ready for today!
The next exam day is Saturday 4 October, with booking expected to open in May/June and close in August.
Council Elections

Voting closes at noon UTC on Monday 10 March.
MiVoice have sent voting instructions by email to all members eligible to vote at 08:00 on 10 February. Please ensure that we have your correct email address.
If you feel you are eligible to vote but haven’t received an email please let us know at contact@irse.org.

IRSE Annual General Meeting 2025
24 April 2025; Amsterdam, NL
Please join us for our AGM 2025 and the inauguration of Bogdan Godziejewski as the 101st President of the IRSE.
This will be a hybrid event held at Centraal Station in Amsterdam and online via livestream. The AGM will be followed by the first Presidential lecture and the IRSE Dutch Section annual dinner.
To attend in person, please book your spot via Eventbrite as soon as possible.
First Presidential lecture
24 April, 2025; Amsterdam, NL
Join us online and in person for the first Presidential lecture in Bogdan Godziejewski’s Presidential year on the theme ‘Engaging Generation Unlimited’.
Alessandra Scholl Sternberg will present ‘Signals of Change: A Young Leader’s Call to Action’. This will follow the AGM and be available to watch via live stream. The lecture will also be recorded for later viewing.
Subscription changes and contact details
Following recommendations to Council by the Fees Working Group, there will be a nominal increase to fees in July, reflecting the increased cost of the services we deliver to members.
Between now and 30 April you have the opportunity to change to (or from) e-membership. (Note: e-members do not receive a hard copy of IRSE News but can read the latest edition online by logging into the IRSE website).

Please also contact us directly if you:
- have retired recently, as you may be eligible for the concessionary rate
