We are seeking someone qualified for this essential voluntary position. This role is responsible for overseeing the operation of the safety-critical IRSE Licensing Scheme and ensuring that all systems and processes adhere to industry standards, regulations and best practice.

What do the technologies of the present and future look like? How will they improve capacity and resilience on the railways?
Join us for a tour of the various control systems being developed by Siemens. Demonstrations will provided for WESTCAD, the latest Train Describer equipment, touchscreen NX panels and other contemporary technologies.
Numbers are limited and advance registration is essential.

Fourth Presidential Lecture

John Skilton will explore the impact of signalling globalisation from a New Zealand Perspective.
Noting that globalisation is not a new concept, the starting point is the organising of signalling in New Zealand leading through to modern technology and the opportunities enabled by globalisation.
This will be a live meeting, recorded for later viewing on our Vimeo channel.

IET & IRSE Railway Signalling and Control Systems training course 2024

We are working with the IET to deliver this training course which will have both online and in-person elements and will include a technical visit to London on the last day.

Chartered Status
Feedback questionnaire open until 5 February
Corporate members have been asked to complete a short questionnaire to assist Council in their decision whether to take the next step towards gaining Chartered Status. Charters are reserved for bodies which work in the public interest and are able to demonstrate pre-eminence, stability and permanence in their particular field.
