Artificial Intelligence in Railways

Presidential Lecture

28 November; London, UK

The next presidential lecture, hosted by the IRSE London & South East Section, will continue the theme of ‘Unsung Heroes’ within the railway signalling and communications industry. Paul McSharry, Managing Director of Kilborn Consulting Ltd. will discuss the vital role of technicians.

This is an in-person event (please arrive from 17:30), and will also be recorded and live-streamed (starting at 18:00).

IRSE professional exam 

Module A results available soon

Congratulations to the 341 candidates who sat their exam module(s) on 5 October. Thank you to the staff and volunteers who covered the online helpdesk on the day.

The Certificate (Module A) results will be released soon, pending resolution of some remote invigilation software issues. Results for Modules B-D are currently being processed, with no specific release date available yet.

Candidates will be updated as soon as more information is available.

ASPECT 2025

2 – 5 December 2025; Yokohama, Japan

There are many ways to get involved in ASPECT 2025!

All are invited to submit abstracts for papers. With over 50 papers planned for the event, there’s a great opportunity to contribute across a diverse range of subjects. 

IRSE Younger Members are invited to apply for bursaries to help towards their travel and accommodation costs. Younger Members are also invited to submit their “innovation ideas” to pitch to a panel of judges.
